The Western United States is a place of majesty -- BIG SKIES so enormous you can watch entire weather systems roll in across the plains and deserts, TOWERING MOUNTAINS so high they often touch the clouds, OPEN LANDSCAPES so devoid of habitation you can see to the horizon without human constructs interrupting the view, DRAMATIC HISTORIES from ancient to modern - and so colorful they define our very existence. These subjects are often the basis of my wall art.
While some of the images you encounter here lie beyond the confines of the American West, the majority of them depict the diverse landscapes and material cultures of the region I now call home. In the SPIRITS OF THE ANCIENTS collection you will find images of my favorite subject -- the ancient cultural remnants and tribal communities of North America's indigenous population. In THROUGH MY LENS you will find image collections organized by subject. SHADES OF GREY is a collection of black and whites -- almost a lost art form these days; and ALTERED PERSPECTIVES is a group of special effects images where I have allowed my creativity to run off the rails of traditional photography. The NOTEWORTHY collection includes my favorites, and singles out those images that judges and the general public have determined are the best of the best.
I certainly hope you enjoy the time you spend here, and that you find an image to enhance your home or office space. Please feel free to mark your favorites and post comments or critiques as they help drive the development of my artistic craftsmanship.
